Justin Gillenwater, MD, MS, FACS, FABAis the founder and Editor in Chief of Burn Wiki. He is a burn surgeon and Chief of Burn Surgery and Medical Director of the Southern California Regional Burn Center at Los Angeles General Medical Center, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and in Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Burn Association (FABA), and author of more than 70 peer-reviewed publications in burn care. He leads the site’s editorial process: every topic is drafted and then reviewed and gated against primary, PubMed-indexed evidence before it is published.
