Privacy policy

Last updated: June 2026

Burn Wiki is an open-access reference. We collect as little as possible and do not sell personal data or use advertising trackers.

What we collect

  • Search queries. When you search, we log the query text and the number of results, to find gaps in our coverage. We store only the origin of the referring page (e.g. “https://burnwiki.com”), not the full URL, and we do not store your IP address or a user identifier with it.
  • Feedback you send.If you submit the “Report an issue” form, we store your message, the page it concerns, and — only if you choose to provide it — your email address, so we can follow up.
  • Aggregate analytics. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand traffic and performance. These are privacy-oriented and do not use cookies to track you across sites.

How it is used

Search logs guide which topics we prioritize. Feedback is read by the editorial team to correct and improve content. Analytics inform performance and reliability work. We do not use any of this to build advertising profiles.

Where it is stored

Site data is stored with our infrastructure providers — Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting and analytics). Feedback notifications are delivered by email via Resend. Each processes data on our behalf.

Retention

Search-query logs are automatically deleted after about 90 days. Feedback submissions are retained while they remain useful to the editorial process.

Your choices

Providing an email with feedback is optional. To ask what we hold about you, or to request deletion, email editorial@burnwiki.com.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. See also our Terms and Disclaimer.
